Spent a wonderful Holiday with most of my family but missed my Jessie in Ohio and Bert could not come as he has pneumonia. Strange Christmas without them and No snow. Not that I miss the white stuff but it was weird to see grass and people out in shorts. found myself picking up scraps of wrapping paper and tissue to save for collages and got a beautiful poem from my granddaughter Mary. I finally had two days off from taking care of grand boys, workshops and the shop being open. From cooking three meals on Christmas Day and trying to get every thing done and ready by the 25Th. Tried out polymer and my heat setting iron and did a page in my phone book journal. made 10 bars of Shea butter oatmeal soap which still has a few hours left to set. made a monster out of Gelli prints and homemade papers and tried marbling with gelli prints. I will be including all of these projects in the 2016 artistree workshops where you can come to share food drink and art with other creative people. every workshop we do is easy and fun and don’t feel intimidated because anyone can do this, you just haven’t discovered the artist in you. I will be listing the January workshops in the next couple days. I also worked on making gyotaku prints and experimented with water mix able oil paints, acrylics and inks to see what I liked best. The acrylics and inks beat out the water mix able oils. No snow to shovel on the new driveway and some pics of the beautiful Christmas cake that my daughter Heather Pitcher made for me. It was beautiful and yummy. Wishing all a healthy and happy new year.
